A Journey Designed for Unforgettable Memories
Day 1: Narkanda: Arrival & Sightseeing
Arrive at Delhi or Chandigarh and drive toward Narkanda, surrounded by snow-laden pine forests and apple orchards. Check into your cozy mountain stay, enjoy the crisp winter air, and prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight in Narkanda.
Day 2: Narkanda - Sangla
After breakfast, begin your drive to Sangla Valley, one of Himachal’s most scenic winter destinations. The route winds through frozen waterfalls, snow-dusted villages, and sparkling river valleys. Arrive by evening, check into your stay, and spend a quiet evening by the warmth of the fire.
Day 3: Sangla - Local Excursion
If weather permits, drive towards Chitkul, the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan border. The snow-covered wooden houses and frozen Baspa River create a scene straight out of a postcard. Return to Sangla by afternoon and relax in your warm riverside accommodation.
Day 4: Sangla - Nako - Giu - Tabo
After breakfast, drive through the icy landscapes of Kinnaur and ascend toward Nako Village, where the lake often turns into a mirror of ice. Continue toward Tabo, the entry to Spiti Valley, crossing high-altitude passes dusted with snow. Overnight stay in Tabo.
Day 5: Tabo - Dhankar - Kaza
Today’s drive takes you deeper into Spiti’s winter wonderland. Visit the ancient Dhankar Monastery, dramatically set atop a cliff, and continue to Kaza, the headquarters of Spiti Valley. Upon arrival, check into your stay and spend the evening adjusting to the altitude and cold temperatures. Overnight in Kaza.
Day 6: Kaza - Kye, Chicham, Langza, Kibber
After breakfast, explore Key Monastery, rising like a fortress above the frozen river valley. Later, drive to Kibber Village, one of the world’s highest settlements. If you’re lucky, you might spot the elusive Snow Leopard in its natural habitat. Return to Kaza for overnight stay.
Day 7: Kaza - Tabo
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Tabo, retracing the snow-covered trails that now feel familiar yet ever-changing in winter light. Spend your evening relaxing in the warmth of your guesthouse and reminiscing about your Spiti adventure. Overnight stay in Tabo.
Day 8: Tabo - Kalpa
Today, drive back toward Kalpa, a picturesque town overlooking the majestic Kinner Kailash range. The route offers stunning contrasts — from frozen Spiti to the slowly thawing apple valleys of Kinnaur. Spend your evening in Kalpa enjoying a warm meal and incredible mountain views. Overnight stay in Kalpa.
Day 9: Kalpa - Shimla
After breakfast, begin your drive toward Shimla, watching the snow give way to pine forests and winding valleys. Arrive in Shimla by evening, check in to your hotel, and spend your final night relaxing.
Day 10: Shimla: Departure
After breakfast, bid farewell to the Himalayas and drive back to Delhi or Chandigarh. Return home with stories of frozen monasteries, quiet mountains, and the unforgettable stillness of winter in Spiti.
